Fiber proof testers are designed to apply a set load to Optical Fiber Coloring Machine in order to evaluate the potency of the spliced fiber. Our fiber proof testers can be purchased in both linear and rotary styles, for both evidence and stress testing. fiber evidence testers are available for single setting, multimode, and polarization-sustaining materials. Pick from dedicated, stand alone systems or multipurpose styles which are also capable of stripping, cleaning, cleaving, splicing, and/or recoating.
fiber Recoaters with Evidence Testers provide easy, incorporated methods to recoat and test fusion-spliced materials. The fiber recoating procedure restores the barrier covering to some removed fiber, providing more versatility than a heat-shrink safety sleeve, allowing so that it is handled and coiled with no damage to the fusion-spliced area. The incorporated linear or rotary evidence tester enables customers to immediately test a recoated fiber with a pre-determined load and determine the long-phrase reliability of the fiber. Because of the ability to recover a combination-spliced fiber to close to initial condition, these techniques are ideal for programs such as undersea optical fiber wires, submarine communication cabling, fiber lasers, or Dispersed Bragg Reflector (DBR) lasers.
The process starts off with the fusion-spliced part of fiber becoming positioned in the center of the mold assembly (see picture for the right). Once set in position, inserts inside the fiber blocks safe the spliced fiber in place. Recoat material is pumped into the cavity and then Ultra violet-treated. The SZ Stranding Line can then be tested by tugging on it up to and including pre-decided weight.
Recoater and Mold Set up Options
Recoaters can be found with either an automatic or handbook mold assembly. The automatic mold set up features pneumatic control over the mold dishes and is enhanced for high-volume production applications. Handbook mold assemblies, on the other hand, use hinged mold dishes that provide much more versatility and are ideal for low-volume manufacturing or RAndD applications. An automated or handbook volumetric dispensing pump and injection method is used to inject the recoat materials to the mold cavity.
The PTR208 automatic recoater comes regular using a mold assembly for Ø430 µm covered materials; For your manual recoaters (Product #s PTR206, PTR206B, PTR307, and PTR307B), the mold assembly comes separately to ensure that customers can select the right mold coating diameter for program. Custom mold covering dimensions can be purchased approximately Ø900 µm. Pre-installation of the mold assembly at the manufacturer can also be readily available. Get in touch with Technology Support to learn more about custom molds or factory set up.
We offer each high-index (Product # AB950200) and reduced-directory (Item # PC373) recoat materials to use during these recoaters. Recoaters with manual shot pumps (Product #s PTR206B and PTR307B) are suitable for each varieties of recoat material; all other recoaters are appropriate for our prime-directory material only. Our handbook recoaters having an automated shot program (Item #s PTR206 and PTR307) can be customized to work with both the reduced- and high-index recoat material; make sure you get in touch with Tech Support for additional information.
Proof Tester Options
The PTR206, PTR206B, and PTR208 fiber Recoaters have a built-in linear proof tester, which takes the fiber as much as a predetermined load (20 N) then produces it. The linear proof tester uses exactly the same fiber holding blocks since the recoater and thus the fiber fails to must be moved just before screening. The PTR307 and PTR307B fiber Recoaters come with a built-in rotary proof tester, which can carry out both evidence and tension tests (?89 N). A single set of proof check grips is provided; substitute proof check grips are available below in packages of 10. Every testing process is fully automated via the included handset or tablet pc control, allowing the user iuwekk choose parameters like the load, the speed at which the burden is applied, and the hold time.
Inserts for fiber Holding Blocks
As well as the previously mentioned, we provide you with a number of inserts for use within the Sheathing Line in the recoaters in order to back up a wide range of fiber covering diameters. For recoaters with a rotary proof tester, the inserts are appropriate for fiber covering diameters in a range from 125 µm to 900 µm. For recoaters having a linear proof tester, the inserts include a range for fiber coatings from Ø250 µm to Ø900 µm.
